C: ok.ru continues to be the most used download site for me but was getting to be a pain before I found a better site that downloads for you if you plug in the urls
S: rarelust.com just takes me to a site where I have to pay
C: plus I have to do a "convert/save" with VLC on the mp4s I get from ok.ru before my blu ray player will play them
you choose fast download (through some sketchy pay site) or slow download (free but throttled to 118K/sec)
about 4-6 hours for the typical 1-2 GB movie for me
Anything I download off youtube is all fracked up for the last couple
of years. The audio plays fine but the video freezes. Until I reencode
them with Handbrake. Then the file size is about 50% bigger and they
pllay fine
I have to reencode a lot of my 4:3 mp4s to no anamorphic or my blu ray player sends them to the TV stretched out to 16:9
S: it should have a setting for that
